Skål International Madrid hosts luncheon-colloquium with Spain’s Secretary of State for Tourism
Skål International Madrid held its monthly luncheon at the Ilunion Atrium Hotel, featuring a distinguished guest: Spain’s Secretary of State for Tourism, Rosario Sánchez.
The event brought together a prominent group of representatives from the Madrid and Spanish tourism sectors, reaffirming Skål’s role as a key forum for dialogue and collaboration among tourism professionals.
Notable attendees included Raquel Sánchez, President of Paradores de Turismo, and Manuel Vega, President of the Spanish Association of Hotel Managers. Also in attendance was Juan Vázquez, President of Skål Spain, who travelled from Málaga especially for the occasion.

Prior to the luncheon, two significant ceremonial acts took place. The Secretary of State presented Ramón Adillón, President of Skål Madrid, with the Silver Plaque for Tourism Merit, in recognition of his contributions to the tourism industry and to the values upheld by Skål. Additionally, she formally delivered the twinning diploma between Skål International Madrid and Skål International Lima, in the presence of Francisco Rivero, Honorary President of Skål International Madrid and President of Skål International Spain for 2024-2025, and Secretary Eliseo González.
This twinning was previously celebrated in Peru, during the days leading up to the Skål International World Congress, held in the city of Cusco, further strengthening international ties and Skål International’s commitment to sustainable tourism development.
Skål International continues to foster friendship, understanding, and cooperation among tourism professionals worldwide, through events that reinforce its mission and values.
